Michelangelo Bastiani - "Space Time Glass"

Mark Hachem présente « Space Time Glass », une exposition personnelle de l’artiste florentin Michelangelo Bastiani.
Les hologrammes de Michelangelo Bastiani combinent l'espace tridimensionnel et l'espace-temps.
Ses œuvres sont placées dans l'espace physique et s'inspirent de la théorie oléographique de Bohm, selon laquelle "notre univers est un hologramme gigantesque et splendidement détaillé". Le temps distingue une vidéo d'une image statique : l'échelle de temps est la différence essentielle entre les deux.
L'artiste florentin présente également de nouvelles œuvres réalisées en verre et en résine colorée, soulignant le caractère irremplaçable de ce matériau, sa transparence et sa flexibilité. Le matériau le plus approprié pour démontrer les réactions chimiques, les connexions entre les fluides, comme s'il s'agissait d'un flux sanguin.
Bastiani présentera pour la première fois ses installations colorées, des hologrammes de différentes tailles et une grande projection vidéo.
Dans ses hologrammes, la nature se mêle à l'artifice : la force des éléments est représentée comme une sorte de paradoxe où la nature est piégée par la main de l'homme, mais entre-temps exaltée par son utilisation habile de la technologie. Bastiani donne aux phénomènes naturels ou aux gracieuses figures féminines une nouvelle demeure, sous la forme d'une bouteille en verre : un microcosme communiquant perpétuellement avec le public dans la vision d'une scène réaliste et cohérente.
Entre réel et virtuel, nature et artifice, Bastiani poursuit une recherche artistique où les seules constantes semblent être la transformation, et l'évolution de ses œuvres dans le temps.
La deuxième exposition personnelle de Michelangelo à Paris, qui s'interroge sur le commencement de toute chose, transforme la galerie Mark Hachem en un lieu d'animation culturelle collective, une vision partagée qui définira la relation interpersonnelle entre la société et la production artistique contemporaine.

George Merheb is one of those artists who live and breathe, the light, the shining sun, the blue sky, the warmth, faith, destiny, and the infinite stars. Across the old sea, in Spain and Italy, in Tunisia and Egypt , in Greece and Lebanon ,he preaches for the same overwhelming spirit , a spirit of love, fatality and pride. he paints the stone arcade ,the wrought iron and the red roofs , obsessed by the beauty of life and the intensity of emotions, he inscribes himself among those who believed in this « mare nostro », cherishing the splendor of living , « la joie de vivre », the endless summer nights and the heavenly bliss.
George Merheb, always, is commemorating those festivities which made the mediterranean the center of the world : Baalbeck, Carthage, Athens, Pompei, Rome, Byblos. It s about the joy and the tears, the beauty and the mask, venus and deception, the good times and the bad times, glamour and flamboyance.
This refined artist gets inspired from the small things of life that constitute his microenvironment : his village of Kfarchima, his vaulted house, the terracotta tiles on the ground, the tarnished stucco in his sun-bathed studio, the scent of jasmin and thym, the ever present amphoras and the archeological remnants of the glorious days. In addition, great passions, the kisses and the lips, fire his heart and brush.
It shortcutted the inbricate relationships that governed the transmediterranean throughout history : Phoenicia and the Etruscans, Caracalla and Julia Domna, Berytus and the law school of the roman empire, the crusaders and the holy lands, Venice and the silk road, Fakhreddine and Tuscany, David Corm, Habib Srour, Mustafa Farroukh and the pilgrinage to florence and renaissance art to Madi and others today around the academy of Rome, George Merheb in his art, represents the typical example of the enlightened Mediterranean, a worshiper of pantheism.

La galerie Mark Hachem, présente "Beirut 6.06 p.m.", un travail réalisé par Naïade Delapierre, une artiste franco-libanaise.
C'est ici un petit bout d'elle-même qu'elle nous livre, une parcelle de son identité libanaise transmise par sa mère, la chorégraphe Lamia Safieddine.
Cette installation est comme un manifeste qui crie sa volonté de conscientiser à l'importance du drame que vivent les Libanais et d'éveiller les consciences sur l'histoire tumultueuse du Liban. Son travail est aussi une façon de s'approprier l'Histoire et de la questionner pour tenter de lui donner sens.

FATIMA EL-HAJJ "BALADES LEVANTINES"
Mark Hachem présente « Balades levantines », une exposition personnelle de l’artiste libanaise Fatima El-Hajj.
Élève du peintre libanais et parisien Shafic Abboud, qui fut son professeur admiré et aimé, Fatima El-Hajj ne cache pas son admiration pour Matisse, Bonnard et Vuillard. Elle appartient à cette famille de peintres impressionnistes qui l’a aidée à trouver sa propre voie.
Les paysages de Fatima El-Hajj sont inspirés des parcs et jardins des villes qu’elle a observés et affectionnés au cours de ses voyages au Liban, au Yémen, au Maroc et en France. Sa palette et sa mémoire ont gardé vives les formes, les couleurs et la lumière de ces lieux et de leurs habitants.

FURY, Data World, Welcome in Dystopia

Fury, femme artiste underground et incontournable de la scène contemporaine française depuis les années 80, se penche, depuis 2009, sur l’utilisation du WEB. L'exposition "Data World, Welcome in Dystopia" réunit des oeuvres qui illustrent une dissipation graduelle du corporel dans le virtuel, jusqu’à la vision dystopique en noir et blanc de l’installation "Behind Data » dont le potentiel muséal est manifeste.
Cette nouvelle exposition de FURY précède la publication de sa monographie à laquelle collabore François Michaud et qui a reçu le soutien de l’ADAGP et de la fondation agnès b.

Fury, "queen of underground" since the 80's, has been working on the use of the WEB since 2009. The exhibition "Data World, Welcome in Dystopia" brings together works that illustrate a gradual dissipation of the physical in the virtual, to the dystopian black and white vision of the installation "Behind Data" whose museum potential is obvious.
This new exhibition by FURY precedes the publication of his monograph in which François Michaud collaborates and which received the support of ADAGP and foundation agnès b.

For Art Miami 2020 (online edition), Gallery Mark Hachem presents a collective exhibition showcasing selected works by Kinetic, Modern and Contemporary Artists.
Works by kinetic masters (Jesús Rafael Soto, Carlos Cruz Diez Dario Perez Flores) and contemporary kinetic artists (Alois Kronschlaeger, Rafael Barrios and Michelangelo Bastiani) with unique sculptures of Phillipe Hiquily. In the modern section, we are pleased to display works by the Masters of Lyrical Abstraction Guy de Rougemont and Gerard Schneider in addition to paintings by the Latin American Modern Master Roberto Matta, Polish Surrealist Igor Mitoraj, American Pop Artist Robert Indiana and Egyptian Master Modernist Hamed Abdalla.
Last but not least in our Contemporary Section we will be displaying the artworks of Contemporary Italian Artists Enrico Ghinato, Enzo Fiore, the photographs of Latvian artist Mikhail Baryshnikov, the paintings of Lebanese contemporary artist Ghazi Baker, sculptures by the renowned Polles, and finally new editioned sculptures, exhibited for the first time at Art Miami by German artist Wolfgang Stiller.

Mark Hachem is delighted and honoured to present a collection of rare paintings and sculptures by Hussein Madi. An exceptional opportunity to discover the work of the Lebanese artist, 30 years after his 1989 solo show at the Arab World Institute in Paris.
Hussein Madi, painter, sculptor and engraver, born in 1938 in Chebaa in South Lebanon, is one of the Middle East’s most famous artists.
" here’s the mystery of creation that inspired my art. There is a unity at the beginning that reproduces with differences; type, number, colour and dimension. All things that are born and die respond to these four categories. The repetition in my paintings is there on purpose and is a way to honour the creator. ”

Né en 1938 à Chebaa, au Sud-Liban, Hussein Madi, peintre, sculpteur et graveur est l'un des artistes les plus célèbres du Moyen orient.
