Mona Trad Dabaji graduated from the American University of Beirut, just as the civil war broke out in Lebanon.

She currently lives and works in Beirut, where she has been teaching painting since 1993.

Mona Trad Dabaji's works have been exhibited in Lebanon, France, Jor­dan, the United States and The United Arab Emirates. Her exhibition «Beyrouth, ville fantôme » (Beirut, The Phantom City), portraying the shattered city center of Bei­rut, represents a milestone in her career as an artist. 

Ever since, her work has revolved around one recurrent theme: Lebanon, its traditions and culture. Through her characters, mainly Lebanese women, she conveys with great precision a particularly multifaceted and complex culture.

Mona Trad Dabaji est diplomée de l'Université Américaine de Beyrouth, juste après l'éclatement de la guerre civile au Liban. Elle vit et travaille a Beyrouth où elle enseigne la peinture depuis 1993. L'artiste a exposé au Liban, en France, en Jordanie, aux Etats-Unis et aux Emirats Arabes Unis. L'exposition «Beyrouth, ville fantôme » (Beirut, The Phantom City), où elle dresse le portrait d'une ville anéantie en 1992, fut une étape importante dans le début de sa carrière. Depuis, tout son travail évolue autour d'un thème récurrent: le Liban, ses traditions et cultures. A travers ses personnages, principalement des femmes, elle parvient a transmettre avec précision sa grande complexité et diversité.
