Born in 1976, Qamishli, Syria.
EN Yaser Safi was born in 1976 in Qamishli. He currently lives and works in Syria. He received a Bachelor in Fine Arts as well as diploma of superior studies in graphics from the University of Damascus. In 2000, he received an honor prize from the Cervantes Center in Damascus. In 2001, he won the 1st Graphic Award at the second Syrian Youth exhibition. His solo exhibition at the French Cultural center in Damascus, in 1999, marked the beginning of his career and was followed by a series of other Solo exhibitions in Syria, Egypt, Dubai, UAE, Jordan and Belgium. Alongside his Solo exhibitions, he took part in several group exhibitions in the Middle East, Europe and USA.

Yaser Safi est né en 1976 à Qamishli, il vit et travaille en Syrie. L'artiste est diplômé des Etudes Supérieures en graphisme de l'Université de Damas. En 2000, il reçoit le prix d'honneur du Centre Cervantès de Damas. En 2001, il remporte le premier prix de graphisme de la seconde exposition de la jeunesse syrienne. Le début de sa carrière est marqué par son exposition personnelle au centre culturel de Damas en 1999, suivie par une série d'expositions personnelles en Syrie, Egypte, Dubai, UAE, Jordanie ou Belgique. En parallèle, il participe à de nombreuses expositions collectives au Moyen-Orient, en Europe et aux USA. |
