Born in Beirut in 1966, Nazar Mouchilian ventured into the world of art at an early age, he embarked through his artistic journey in search for his own identity. He was fascinated by the complexity of the human organism and inspired by its representations in different schools, especially in pointillism and fractal art. Nazar was particularly influenced by Rothko’s audacity, Soulages’s black colors and Ryman’s variations of white. He experimented with repetition and pure forms in search for his own unique identity.

The year 2010 was a turning point in the artist’s life when, after a long introspective journey, Nizar decided to sign his work as "Nazar", his birth name and his true identity. The artist finally assumed who he truly was. While the quest still continues, the artist is now translating his emotions and experiences into his own voice and very personal narrative.

Né à Beyrouth en 1966, Nazar Mouchilian s’initia dans le monde de l’art à un très jeune âge, profitant de sa liberté artistique afin d’embarquer sur un voyage spirituel, en quête de sa propre identité. Depuis toujours il est fasciné par l’organisme humain, et il s’inspire de ses représentations dans de différentes écoles, surtout le pointillisme et la fragmentation. Mouchilian est particulièrement influencé par l’audace de Rothko, les couleurs sombres de Soulages, et les variations de la couleur blanche de Ryman. Il expérimenta avec des motifs récurrents, de la répétition, et des formes pures afin de trouver sa propre identité unique.

L’année 2010 marqua un changement dans la vie de l’artiste quand, après avoir subi un long voyage introspectif, Mouchilian commença à signer ses tableaux avec son prénom et veritable identité, « Nazar ». L’artiste assuma enfin son véritable soi, et tant que la quête continuera, il traduira ses émotions et ses expériences en une histoire artistique et profondément personnelle.
